The Big 4 Soldiers Point Holiday Park in Port Stephens was named the best holiday park with more than 100 sites on the NSW North Coast while the Big 4 Karuah Jetty, also in Port Stephens, was an award for excellence in environmental innovation.

The winners of the CCIA Awards for Excellence for 2014 were announced on August 13, 2014 at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley.

Owners of Big 4 Soldiers Point Holiday Park, Johanna and Peter East, said they were excited to win the CCIA award, which they also won last year. “We focus on offering the best facilities and holiday experience possible, particularly for young families, with a kids club, bike track, indoor and outdoor pools, games room and multiple playgrounds all ensuring parents and kids have fun while staying here,” said Johanna.

Destination Port Stephens General Manager, Janelle Gardner, congratulated Big 4 Soldiers Point Holiday Park and Big 4 Karuah Jetty on their awards.

“These latest accolades again underline the wonderful holiday experiences visitors can enjoy in Port Stephens,” Ms Gardner said. “Our many award-winning holiday parks in Port Stephens are first class and run by operators passionate about creating warm memoires for our growing number of visitors who are the lifeblood of our economy in Port Stephens.”
