ANA to Support Typhoon-Damaged Philippines & Izu-Oshima, in Japan

ANA-AirlinesThe ANA Group offers its deepest condolences to all those affected by and Typhoon Haiyan which directly struck the central Philippines on November 8, and Typhoon Wipha which directly struck Izu-Oshima on October 16, 2013, We would like to express our deepest sympathy to those who have lost loved ones and suffered loss of property and livelihoods. As an airline which provides regular flights to disaster areas, The ANA Group, offers humanitarian cooperation and support as follows: Support for the Philippines 1) Cooperating in travel for relief efforts and transportation of relief supplies ANA Group is providing free seating for those travelling for relief efforts through the Japanese Red Cross Society and Japan Platform*and free transportation of relief supplies, subject to certain conditions**. This will apply to flights operated by the ANA Group to Manila departing from and arriving at Narita for the period from November 15, 2013 (Friday) to December 13, 2013 (Friday). 2) Donations from ANA Group Employees In addition to donations from our company, donations will be collected from within the ANA Group to be used to support the disaster area through the Japanese Red Cross Society. 3) Collection of Donation Miles from ANA Mileage Club Members ANA Group will ask all ANA Mileage Club members to donate miles for the typhoon-damaged Philippines and an amount equivalent to the donated miles will be used to support the disaster area through the Japanese Red Cross Society. 1.Miles can be donated in 3,000 mile increments (equivalent to 3,000 yen). 2.Period of acceptance: 10:00 a.m. November 22, 2013 (Friday) – 9:59 a.m. (Japan time) December 25, 2013 (Wednesday). 3. How to donate: World wide ANA Mileage Club members can donate miles in increments of 3,000 miles per donation via the ANA SKY WEB. Miles up to 10 increments can be donated per operation, and 11 increments or more can be donated by repeating the operation. Support for Izu-Oshima 1) Dispatching of volunteers from the ANA Group ANA Group seeks volunteers from among its executives and employees and will dispatch them to Izu-Oshima through the Japan Platform during the period from November 16 to the end of November 2013. This period can be extended, subject to conditions. 2) Donation from ANA Group Executives & Employees Donations will be collected from within the ANA Group to be used to support the disaster area through the Japanese Red Cross Society (hereinafter JRC). 3) Collection of Donation Miles from ANA Mileage Club Members ANA Group will ask all ANA Mileage Club members to donate miles for the typhoon-damaged Izu-Oshima and an amount equivalent to the donated miles will be used to support the disaster area through the Japanese Red Cross Society. 4) Support implemented to date In order to support evacuation and relief efforts, the ANA Group has provided a total of 14 additional flights between Oshima and Haneda since October 17. The ANA Group has also provided free flights for JPF staff who flew to Oshima to investigate and assess the impact of the disaster The ANA Group donated a portion of its emergency food reserves to the disaster area through JPF.
